In order to cover the energy demand in a more environmentally and resource friendly way, an energetic concept was implemented, which was supported by the Free State of Bavaria and the European Union with funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERFE), with the aim of securing and creating jobs for growth and employment in Bavaria. The high energy requirements were met in the new building with sandwich panels and an insulated floor slab for the building envelope. The required building condition for the blower door test resulted in an energy efficiency certificate that almost corresponds to a KfW 55 -efficient house.
